Ch. Kimberlite's Amethyst March 5, 1992 to September 2, 2003 Better known as "Amy". She was my first home-bred champion. Born on March 5, 1992 ("A" Litter) out of Ch. Donald vom Rotelbachtal, TT, HIC and Ch. Sanmarco's Smokey Quartz. Amy's hips were certified by the OFA as good. She stands about 22 inches at the shoulder and in her salad days weighed around 85 pounds. From time to time, Amy did the twirling woofs - she spinning as she barked. This signaled either "I want outside, NOW!" or "I want back inside, NOW!" She also loved to shimmy all over the lawn on her back. Amy was the official hairdresser of the house. Many of our dogs sported "Amy-Doos" - lovely cowlicks on top of their head, courtesy of Amy's licking. She also was the artist of the house - scratching lovely cross-hatching patterns into the carpets...this was how she made her bed.
