"Callie" was born on April 28, 2002 ("I" Litter - 4 males, 6 females) .   Iceland Spar is a crystalline form of Calcite, hence her name Callie.  

Show Career

Callie entered the show ring at just over 6 months of age.  On her first weekend she earned 6 points, earning Best Puppy, Winner's Bitch, Best of Winner's and Best of Opposite over a female special for a 4 point major.  

Callie completed her championship in 3 weekends, finishing with Best of Winner's, Best of Opposite and Best Puppy in Breed for a  3 point win at just 9 months of age.  The following day, Callie earned Best of Breed and went on to a Group II and Best Puppy in Group at the Alberta Kennel Club show in  Calgary, Alberta. 

Unfortunately, Callie had to be emergency spayed due to pyometra infection.  We never did get puppies from this oh-so-lovely girl.

Because of Callie's penchant for stuffing toys in her mouth, she also enjoys the name of "Callie Two Toys"  - sometimes she is "Callie Four Toys" - here is a picture of her with 4 toys stuffed in her mouth (the 4th one is hidden beneath).
