 "Cori". Bred by Bev Burney, she was born on November 18, 1993 out of Ch. Bev's Seiko of Rol-Gin and Jamar's Wildest Dream. Cori's hips and elbows were certified by the WCVM (good and normal). Her heart was  certified normal in July 1999. CERF (eyes) normal March 28, 2001.  Thyroid normal. DNA profiled "Clear" for Von Willdebrands.  She stood 24.5 inches at the shoulder and weighed 102 pounds.  Cori produced 30 puppies in 3 litters - "C", "D", and "F" litters.    She won Winner's Bitch at the 1994 Canadian National Specialty and also Best of Opposite Sex in Puppy Sweeps.  In 2001 she won Best Veteran and Dam and Progeny at the Regional Bernese Specialty held in Calgary, Alberta.

Cori's most endearing quality was her love of "Elle-phants" - this is what we call all her stuffed toys, (her first stuffed toy was a pink elephant).  I've awaken many a morning to find an "elle-phant" sitting on my pillow.

Cori was the official ear-cleaner of the house, and she was quite particular about how it is done.  She would get a drink of water and then walk over to the nearest dog laying down and proceed to clean their ears.  Then she woud go and clean her mouth once again with a fresh drink, and go and clean another dog's ears.  It is very important to have a fresh mouth when one is cleaning ears!  She loved to rub her face along the couch and was nuts for bum rubs - she would rock back and forth in ecstasy.

Cori's nicknames were  Corky Pork, Corkscrew, Cori-Bori Puddin' and Pie, and the most recent name, "Cori the Cougar", she earned from her shameless flirting with the young males who visited our house.

Her legacy will live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cori was truly a "cornerstone" at Kimberlite and lived up to her name, met and exceeding all my expectations.
