Ch. Kimberlite's Captain Crunch,
CD Born January 13, 1996 (a litter of 12 nicknamed the Dirty Dozen) - affectionately called "Jake", but also had the nicknames of Jake-man and Snake-boy. He was my 3rd home-bred champion and 2nd home-bred companion dog and multiple group placer. Jake is out of Ch. Blakoke's High Alps and Ch. Bev's Kimberlite Cornerstone. Hips (rated excellent) and elbows (normal) were certified at the WCVM in May 1998. Heart and eyes normal. Jake has sired several litters, one being my "E" litter producing my Best in Specialty winner, Ch. Kimberlite's Ebony Diamond. One could best describe Jake as being the "Kramer" of our household. He was crazy for belly-rubs; loved to be groomed; loved his toys and when we had water in the pond he went swimming. He was a carting fool too! Jake developed epilepsy at 8 years due to a benign brain tumor and sadly we had to euthanize him. The last day of "normal" for Jake was at the 2004 BMDCC National Specialty - it was such a thrill as he won Best Veteran Sweeps, as well as winning 3-generation sweepstates with his daughter Ch. Kimberlite's Ebony Diamond, and granddaughter Ch. Kimberlite's Iceland Spar. Later that night he had severe seizures and was put on heavy medication. I shall always remember that last thrilling weekend with my special boy. Jake's Photo Gallery Jake's Pedigree ("C" Litter)
