Our "KD" came into our life in December 1989.  A rolly-polly puppy of love and licks.  I'll never forget our first night with her.  Myself, my husband Peter and our girl, "Kimaroo" huddled up on the bed not moving least we wake up that little terrorist.  We called her the puppy shark, because when she heard us on the bed, she would start to circle it - and all we could see was the tip of her white tail - like a shark fin, cutting through the water.  "KD" went on to become our first champion and then produced for us 13 beautiful puppies in 2 litters (our A and B litters).  She was the most kind and loving dog - a long cry from the puppy shark of her young days.  She snored like a buzzsaw too!  "KD" epitomized the "sit on your foot" berner.

KD bloated and torsioned at 10 years of age.  Tragically, her kidneys would not start up after surgery was performed. We made the extremely painful decision to euthanize her post-surgery.  Post mortem revealed no signs of cancer.  KD darling, I miss you so much.
